Tatiana SAMOUIL
[Back]Tatiana Samouil was born into a family of musicians. At the age of six, she started to play the violin and shortly after entered a specialized school of music. Thre years later Tatiana gave her first recital and made her debut as a soloist with the Moldova National Orchestra conducted by her father Alexander Samouil.
In 1989 she entered the Music Academy College and later graduated with honours in 1993. After that Tatiana continued her studeis with Prof. Maja Glezarova at the Tchaikovsky State Conservatoire in Moscow. In 1995 Samouil became a laureate of the international programm 'New Names' and toured both Russia and Europe.
After graduating from the Moscow Conservatoire in 1997; she became a student of Igor Oistrakh at the Royal Conservatoire in Brussels, three years later Tatiana got her Master diploma along with the Maurice Lefrank award for most outstanding student(2000). For the year 2001-2002 Tatiana won a scholarship to study with Jose-Luis Garcia at Reina Sofia music school in Madrid.
Miss Samouil has performed as a soloist with many orchestras and famous conductors.
Her chamber-music partners are Gerard Causse, Andre de Groote, Sonia Wieder-Atherton and Viviane Spanoghe among the others.
Samouil is a first prize winner of Prix Henry Vieuxtemps competition in Verviers and Belgian TV Radio competition TENUTO as well as a laureat of the major internatiional violin competitions: Sibelius, Helsinki 2000, Queen Elisabeth, Brussels 2001, Michael Hill, New Zeland 2001 and Tchaikovsky, Moscow 2002.
As a special award of Jean Sibelius International competition recently she recorded her first CD at Academie musicale de Villecroze (France). During the 2002-2003 season Tatiana did appear for the first time with the Holland Symphony, Bucarest Radio Symphony and Presidential Orchestra of Turkey. her violin is Guarnerius del Gesu 1741.
